You will want a micarta handle next, then probably a anvil tang stamped one, then a two dot, then a three dot, then a 4 dot, man.

I know, I've been there.

Ain't it FUN.

George in Arkansas.

Oh yes, I just got a nickel silver 110, that means I will want one in a 112. I just got the nickel silver back from Buck after they reworked it. Man, what a beauty.
Post a pic for the rest of us!!!!:D

Thanks for the pic's guys!!!! I want one of each.....well.... maybe in time....but thats the fun in collecting these things. Back to ebay to find some!

OK guys, I'm not up on the Buck collectibles.
I do however have a Buck 112 from the late 70's. What do I look at to classify it?

Woo!!! :D (You typed faster'n me, George!!!)

It says:

BUCK
.112.
U.S.A.

It has one small brass pin towards the front, two small brass pins towards the back and one silver pin in the middle that appears to be a pivot pin.

It has a stainless spacer on the butt end.

I'll definately have to re-aquire a digi-cam since I've found this site!

OK, makes sense now. What was I thinkin'?

They measure 1/16 of an inch.

I bought the knife in '77 and it has seen heavy use ever since and held up to everything I've thrown at it.

Thanks for the help!

OK, I have to get in on this! :D Here's my 1st version, 1st category 112. Used for eight years on my gun belt and still looking good! OK, the sheath is trash, but the knife is nice!

Nice toe sticker Mike! Looks brand new.

Just read on the BCCI website that the 112 did the FG in 1988. Yet my manicure/staple-remover 112FG has a 1986 ("<") blade.

I'm guessing it was a blade made in 86 and put on a FG body. So, what does that make the knife? 86 or 88?

"I did it one piece at a time. It's a 57,58,59,60,61,62 automobile..."

Goose.

110 and 112 standard factory production fingergrooved models were first offered in about 1982 or 1983, as I recall. I would have to check my adverstising binders to be more exact.

Always good to see the 112...no matter what year of manufacture or configuration:). Thanks to all that posted pics(Mike Kierns and GeoKost those early micarta 112 just send my heart pitterpat:D). Preston

Oakie Doke. The BCCI knife history Word doc <snip!>...

Goose - You shouldn't be posting a direct link to the BCCI web pages...They're only available to members w/passwords...casual observers who don't have a clue [like maybe me] will hit a password-protected wall and start posting obnoxious posts like...well, this one... :D ;) :p
