I have been lurking on the site for a few weeks and got the "bug" and just purchased a two dot 112. Excellent knife... a little simichrome and oil and it looks and works like my new 110.

I am currently using my 110 nylon in the horizontal setup. Does Buck make a horizontal leather sheath for the 112?

...i think this may be the start of a bad habit....

The sheath for the Buck Alpha rubber handle will fit just fine. I just dropped my old 112 in and all is well. The hitch is that the sheath is marked Alpha Hunter. It can go hrizontal.

Hi Iron City --

As far as I know, only the Cordura nylon sheaths for folders have both the horizontal and vertical carrying options. I have Cordura nylon sheaths for my 110 Folding Hunter and Alpha Folding Hunter, and they have both carrying modes. They're both black and say "Buck" on the front. Here's the link to Buck Knives sheaths: http://www.buckknives.com/catalog/244

There are several Cordura nylon sheaths listed there, and to find the one that best fits your 112, I guess that you'll have to try them on for size. The Cordura nylon sheath for the model 450 Protege might fit your 112 the best, however, not personally owning that knife, I cannot check it for both carrying modes. The Cordura nylon 110 Folding Hunter sheath may be the second-best choice. It all depends upon how much "swimming room" you want your knife to have, inside the sheath. The Buck Knives representatives that hang around the forum might be persuaded to test-fit a 112 Ranger into these various sheaths, since Buck Knives is the only place I know of that has access to all the knives and all the sheaths.

Good luck on your hunt!

Good suggestions.

I was looking for a leather sheath so I called Buck today to get the skinny.... no luck, nylon is my only choice.
