112 with Madrone Burl

I got this block of Madrone burl to make a set of steak knives for the wife...
Well, ya gotta do a test run, right...?
I kinda like the way this beat up old .112. turned out...new blade and all.......

NICE job! It does look like a bit of Danish oil or something along those lines would really enhance the beauty of that burl?

Actually, that is exactly what I did use... Danish Watco oil!
Early morning light...it really looks better in person ...

I bought a 110/ the other day that's kinda beat up and I'm about to send a bunch of wood off to get stabilized and will be doing the same to it. I havn't searched yet, assuming your 112 had the pivot pin as the 110 does did you do anything other than just grind it down a little or most of the way?

I left one head on it and cut it just longer than the width of the liners...peend it down and sanded the heads flush.
