Just bought my first american made buck today and I'm very impressed. I picked up a 112 with green paperstone handles at a local outdoors shop. I went in there to check out the CSAR models, which are more of my usual style, but the 112 just impressed me. Hair shaving sharp out of the box, decent lockup, the spine and bottom are flush, came with a decent sheath, and outstanding ergos. Overall just awesome, pure classic. Theres nothing better than a classic american knife made in america and bought in a local shop. Thanks buck!

trigga, Welcome. Thanks, for these comments. For the same reasons is why most of us purchase Buck knives. Do something with your 112 and let us know how it performs. Sometimes Buck offers the 112 with different steels. DM

David, I took your advice and went on a quick hike with it, did a little whittling, messed around with it and I'm very pleased. I was surprised how nicely it bit into the wood. And of course, since its wisconsin, i cut some cheese with it, and I've got to say it cuts wood a lot better that it cuts cheese.
