A co-worker has a nice little 112 with black (ebony?) scales and nickle silver bolsters that I have been eyeballing.
He's had it for at least 10 years.
Any chance of recreating this via the custom shop?

sounds like he has the 112 annaversery model ,you may be able to pick one up on ebay , I have a 110 and 112 of this model , has nickle silver bolsters ebony scales and ranger 25th annaversery on the blade, the ranger was my carry knife from 1987 till this year when I picked up a alfa hunter great knife

We keep dreaming, about 112's and a couple of other models, but nothing in the last 5 years, I've been waiting.

I talked to the custom shop about a 112 when I ordered my 110...they have no plans to do a 112 any time soon. John

hay u'al,
how's this little number look, its a damacuss "custom" stamped blade and nickel silver bolsters with what i belive is ebony [or another dark wood] scales..
wandering if i should keep it or not... i had not sold it already as i was going to put ivory in for the scales and do some scrimshaw on it but dont know if that would harm the value much or would improve it some...
i dont know if i should=> sell or => keep it and pratice my scratching on it..
i realy am kinda a 110 man ... let me know your opion here or send me a email a334dave@yahoo.com

Anyone have one of the "Black Feather" copies of the 112 from the original Rigid Knives? It had the 112 blade (no nail nick) and black micarta scales (with no liners). It was one of the first light weight folders and very well made. I think the blade steel was 440C.

Well, I ended up picking out a really nice 112 (no grooves). newer Idaho production.
It's my retro EDC. G-10 just gets kind of blah after awhile. It's nice to have a hand-filling hefty bladed folder again!
Thanks Buck!
