Hi All,
This is the first full-fledged version of my Mountain Knife in its intended 115% size.
It's my One Knife design - the walk-into-the-mountains-for-a-month belt knife.
3/16" A2 @ 1000grit
4" blade
8.65" OAL
High flat grind
Double-black linen micarta scales
5/32" stainless pins
This one was built at the request of one of our illustrious forumites - I badly need my own now.
This full-spine-curve version puts the point in a very convenient place, and it feels natural in the hand. The gently rounded spine makes for a comfortable purchase for the off-hand thumb for fine control. The handle is comfortable in forward, reverse, and chest-lever positions. It feels..... "mighty". This kinfe falls to hand in a way that's hard to describe, bringing your hand close to the blade, but well-protected - as much control as you could get with a choil knife, but none necessary (except for the sharpening notch).
Thanks for looking.
