How many variations of the “modern” 117 (baby 119) have been made? Handle material, steel, grind, etc

I have not found much besides the standard 420HC and black phenolic

there's a 5160 dymondwood type handle cocobolo colored version too. I know cause in have one. also a 420hc version same thing. pretty sure both are hollow ground.

also a brahma version 420hc leather disk type handle and hollow ground.. that is discontinued now.

thats what I've seen. may be more.....

Thank you, sir. I know we have talked a little about them, but I was just trying to gather all the options in one place. For myself and anyone else looking.

Any insight as to why they’re discontinued? Sure would be nice to have an S30V or some other upgraded stainless

think c&c ones were special runs. think don't know. the brahma im not sure if it was regular or a special run through someone else.

wasn't there a cherry handled one?
I think the 117 was a C&C exclusive, so probably all the variations would come from them besides the brahma.

Nope wait. there were 2 limited editions. An Ebony /boxelder burl and an elk antler handled one.

There's a few brahma's out there for sale right now.

Thanks for the photos GPyro GPyro and the info. It’s amazing the amount of knowledge you guys have.

I like that Ebony. But I agree, it should go to a collector.

I might pick up a regular 117 and see if I can’t have someone make me up a different handle for it. Just something different for a “user.” I would really like to see CPM154/S30V or something along those lines though. I’m surprised they didn’t do any.
