118 palmwood

Got my 118 palmwood today.Wow what a cool knife.Does anyone know how many were produced?

Armand, the handle has a little texture to it. It feels smooth but not like the standard handle smooth.

There are different types, and that looks like stabilized "black palm". It is really cool to look at, but challenging to work with in my experience.

The only other knife I've seen with Palmwood is the Jaguar Kalinga. It is an attractive wood and I'd love to have others made with it.

The Centennial year special project 119 with the "100" gold plated cutout also was made with Palmwood.

If you collect Palmwood-handled knives, Smoky Mountain Knife Works is selling a Canal Street D'holder Drop Point with Red Palmwood handles. I just picked one up it's nice.

The Buck 118 looks great. I might have to grab one while they're still available.
