118 Sheath Question

I have acquired a 2 line 118 in excellent condition that is in a flap over (holster style) sheath marked for a 105. The 118 fits the sheath perfectly and I was wondering if Buck may have actually shipped 118's in 105 sheaths at one time, which could make this the original sheath. Anybody run across this?

Thanks
Tom

Tom,
You would also find that your 118 will probably fit nicely in a 103 sheath of that same era. One likely possibility is that the knife and sheath were accidently mixed-up at a store. If I come across a 118 sheath and you want to trade in order to get a correct sheath, I am willing to help you out. I am confident that Joe Houser will do the same thing. Just let one of us know. I often have an extra sheath or two for the early fixed blade models. Sometimes they are obviously used and sometimes they are like new.

Thanks for the response Larry. If you do run across a flap over 118 sheath that you want to trade, please let me know.

Thanks
Tom
