Hey All, new to this area of the forum and I was hoping to find a little help. I have a Buck 119 and 102 that have been abused through their long life and I have seen a couple of custom jobbers in this forum, is there someone who can revive these two for me?? Possibly even turn them into customs?? Any help would be appreciated!!

Buck Knives will revive them, maybe even customize them ....not for sure on the custom part though.
For a full custom Buck knife ,
You need to contact Leroy Remer 1-619-561-2242.
He worked in the Buck Custom shop for several years.

What triple E said!!!!
How abused are they though?

I know that Buck and Leroy prefer to customize fixed blades from blanks, because the black phenolic handle is next to impossible to remove. It's not as easy as removing the pommel & pin and sliding the handle off. Most guys are pleased with the "clean & sharpen" from Buck, I have a Custom Shop 639 in for just that. When it returns, I'll post before and after pictures.

True, very true...

I had a pair of custom 119's made by Buck Knives. I was told that the handles are epoxied on and they have to be smashed to get it off. SOMETIMES they can save parts but it is tough. Especially on the "newer" ones. Best to just clean them up (or buy new ones) depending on how "abused" they are. ( in my opinion)

( I am by no means an expert either :D)

Thanks ya'll, I appreciate the response!! It sounds like I will be sending them out for a clean and sharpen. I think I will wait till I see the pics before I do though. The condition of mine are salvagable I believe, it looks like someone tried to sharpen them on a grinder and not very well!!!

Probably not too good to do a custom with then...
Start with a real good blade. Makes for a nice knife then! good luck.

I'll post a pic again of my customs just for fun :D
