Here's a 119 my son got from a friend... It didn't look good at all... But I took it down to see Leroy and now it's sweet again... Thanks for looking ... ITE ...

ITE,A 119 mfg. in 1980-85 of 425M steel.He did a good clean up job on it.Thanks for sharing.DM
 
Thanks DM and edbeau, boy he did great on this one... There was some big nicks on the blade edge... Now it looks good for a 80s knife... I bet his friend will want it back now... :eek: ...
 
The nicks were the first thing I noticed and Leroy got them out. I have a 120 that had a couple of nicks and I didn't want to take too much off the blade. I may have to get it out again and finish the job.

edbeau, post some pics of your 120 before and after... If you can.... I like the 120, they are a great knife...
 
ITE, I did get one out while I was using fine sandpaper to sharpen. It took a long time and I didn't take any before pictures. I need to look at the remaining one and see if I can get a good picture and get it out with my Lansky. The knife also had a broken tip and I reshaped it. Lucky it was only a small amount lost.

Someone here posted a pic a while back of a 119 or 120 with a broken tip (only an eighth inch or so) that they reshaped; the new tip was almost perpendicular to the horizontal...it looked terrific, and totally changed the overall appearance of the knife... :cool::thumbup:

I just dug out my Iraq bringback 119...It has the 119^ datestamp...I don't have my Buck datechart here...Anyone know offhand what year/steel this is???
