119 Stamp Question

I found a few old Bucks today (119 and a 639) in a shop. The 119 has this stamp. What does the upside down mean for the age?

In late '71-'72 Buck added the model number and was inverted for a short time. Sometime in 1972 or 1973 the orientation changed to read tip up.

I think you are right. This one looks to have more belly and a quicker upsweep.

That’s a nice find there, looks to be new or very little use. I like those old snoopy sheaths.

As a Tip-Down you get an added bonus, your knife has four spacers. The 119 lost its fourth spacer pretty early in the Tip-Up era and you don’t see many. I’ve always liked the fourth spacer, classes the knife up a bit in my opinion. OH
