119 v 440c?

I am pretty sure its a 440 c blade,but can't seem to find the info i had on it,any help?

Razor, Sorry if your disappointed but the Buck data is pretty sure on that date as to the steel type . DM
 
Its a good knife,It seems to stay sharp and sharpen up like my old square frame 110 2 dots,those are 440 c,This might be the only 425 m buck i own.I have a 3.dot 110 that might be 425m too?I'm not real good at the date codes,almost all my knives are users,so i don't usually pay attention to codes.
 
The overwhelming consensus of the Lords of Bucklore is that a Three-Dot blade is the last of the 440C and they put four dots on the first of the 425M blades.

That ruling has held up well over the years, so.....who knows, it may never change.

Not that there couldn't be a Three-Dot 425M out there somewhere......but how would we know?
