Got my 12" AK last Friday in time to take to the ranch with me. Beautiful little knife. Not ablemish on it and the sheath work is exceptional. The handle just slightly small for my hand. Very comfortable to wear. I'm on and off the tractor and using the cahinsaw and hundred other chores all day. With my .44 Special on the strong siede, this little knife rides very nicely. Cut the ends off of some 3/4 inch rope I was using and won't replace a good serrated pocket knife , but did well. Can do some very light chopping. Not to be my everday carry, but I have fell in love with it. I find myself picking it up to just heft it and look at it. Must be a relapse of HIKV. I think I must have a 15 or 16" AK, or maybe an M43 or a CHitlangi or,or maybe ALL OF THEM!

"Grind" is such a harsh word, munk. "Smooth the sharp points off" with fine sandpaper wrapped around a file, now that sounds much more harmonious.
:p ;) :D

I have a 12" Villager AK. Great knife. It saw some good usage on a recent camping trip. I agree on the handle being too small. One way to remedy that is to spend some time with a 12" Sirupati. When you go back to the AK the handle will feel a lot larger. ;)

Remember that your index finger goes along the bolster/blade interface, not on the handle itself ... unless you're a halfling. ;)

Hey! I resemble that remark. :p

I am anxiuos to use it around the camp. It fits my wife's hand really well, so I may lose it. Not a bad thing, maybe she will catch the HIKV. Hey , yeah that's it.

The great Hand-Size census is back....;)

stevekt has the right idea....:D....the handle is almost kid-sized in diameter. But makes for a great light-duty camp knife for boy scouts. ;)

Still have a 12" AK villager hanging on my peg board...waiting....just waiting for some tlc.....very patient lil' feller. :D
