#12 durring the process

That's a pretty nice finish! How far does the grind go toward the spine of the blade? Looks like it's right at the top. I know that when I get that close it starts getting a little iffy whether I go too far... Sometimes I've ended up with a blade about 1/32" thick from trying to get the flats down to the grind line... :D But I figure it's all good until it becomes transluscent... ;) Nice going, keep us posted.

Man that's a beauty! I wish my 12th knife had looked so good. Your customer is going to be very pleased. Thanks for sharing!

Man that is pointy and shiny :D You can do that in 4 hours, it takes me a couple weeks to make a knife :( Are you doing all of it on a belt sander and buffer?

angle grinder to cut it out then to the belt grinder to shape and grind the blade then to heat treat then temper for 2 or more cycles then i ran up to about a 600x+ finish on the belt then hand rubbed 600x finish then 1500 then handle then buffer and done

full process i guess

but about 4 true hours of work i dont count the tempering time as work as it mainly just sits in the oven durring that time
