I have been looking for one of these (preferably with the natural canvas handles) but am not having any luck. A nyone have any idea when more of these are going to be shipped to dealers?
 
The shop recently received a significant shipment of 12" machete blade blanks. I saw them during a recent shop visit. You may try sending Ken a PM and inquire when they plan on having a new batch available. Be patient and there's no doubt you'll have one in hand :)

Great! No need to bother Ken. I'll just be on the lookout for one. As long as they are still in production, I don't mind waiting!
 
Chris was workin on a batch of 16" machetes this morning
Hopefully the 12's aren't far behind
 
I'm on the hunt for one with a black micarta handle myself, although I wouldn't mind seeing you guys bringing back the wooden handles as well.

Can anyone tell me what the weight of one of these is perhaps?

I hear "Pings" in some people's future. I love the ping ping ping sounds the fiddleback machetes make. It's music to Ol' Duder's ears.:D
 
Yup, up here in Vancouver BC I find the 12" machetes shorter, thicker blade is great as a compromise between splitting moderately sized firewood, and slashing brush to clear trails. Very useful.
 
hmmmm, now you folks got me wondering... there currently is a 12" machete available at the german bay... it just seems like 200€ is quite a rise in price, even when considering customs, shipping etc...
 
Anyone have an update on when the next batch of Fiddleback 12" machetes is going to be at dealers? My money is burning a hole in my pocket!
 
So - I keep seeing references to Machete Monday. What is that?
I've been following these boards pretty closely for 4-5 months and I've never seen a Monday sales thread....

if you are so serious about wanting to get rid of your money... the one i mentioned is still for sale... though, i don't see it being worth the 200€

unfortunately the machetes have been put on hold awhile we are scrambling to make up for the changes in staff
 
It is interesting to watch the ebb and flow of the forum, I scored two machetes when it seemed you couldn't give them away. At the time a Bushcrafter in any flavor was unobtainium and yet I just saw one sell for the price of a production HB.

I've been trying to flagship this idea already Darren. I soooo want a Tangerine handled 12" Machete! The move into the new shop, mid-tech production, and personnel changes .. the crew probably needs some time to find a good groove. :thumbup:
 
Somebody scored a Unicorn on the Bay. It sure didn't last long. If it was someone here, let's talk trading sheaths. :)
