Yes. All day long. $45 shipped for sharpened blanks.

That will be interesting. JRod has already exhibited great skills making handles. Can't wait to see the outcome of this project!

Thanks man! I blame Andy for my new found obsession with handles, his are so good, that it opened my eyes to the potential of a well shaped handle, and it's fun!

Just a quick cell pic, received my blank today, here she is with the handles epoxyed and roughly shaped ( waiting for the pins on Monday) sanded it to 150 grit, just to try to show the wood, it's very dark but very deep ( it's claro walnut burl)

Very nice, Jared. Looking forward to seeing the progress. Man...you don't mess around!!

I got my 12" today as well...it is fabulous...cannot wait to attack some greenery with it :D

That handle looks great! I have a faster way to do handles. I need to show you this. It will save you a lot of time. You should drive up for a couple of days.

This begs for an online tutorial. I've done one or two but I'm down for faster.

Any more of the 12 inch blanks left? Interested in one. Also, was wondering what thickness the steel is.

I have 12" blanks left Kruger. The steel is 3mm at the butt and tapers toward the tip.

I've already done a handle tutorial that handles this, but here is a quick post version:

Get your slabs square and flat. (micarta and g-10 are already pretty close). Tape the scales together tightly. Tape the blade blank onto the scales. Drill through holes in tang and through handle material with appropriate sized bit. Pin each drill hole after you complete it (I only do two pins). Voala. Take off the tape and shape the handle scales (outline) while they are pinned together. Finish the leading edge of the scales. Glueup the whole thing, pins in. Done.

Wow! That's an amazing offer and I intend to take you up on it, it would have to be a bit after Blade this year though( I'm taking 2 weeks off at that time ( getting married at the end of May, then honeymoon, then Atlanta for Blade) but I would love to go up later in the year if the offer still stands)

I'm going to try this on my next one, definatly will save time, thanks!

This with my new hiking buddy will make a fine duo!

Very nice, Jared!! I really like the way the grain in the wood pops out at ya now. And that mosaic pin is awesome!
