12" motorcycle chain san mai damascus machete

This is an order for a customer of mine. It turned out really really good!

-12" blade, 18" overall length in the supplied profile.
-Motorcycle chain San Mai Damascus with 5160 core steel.
-Handle in my own micarta. Black and green, flutted for extra grip.
- Lanyard in leather and chainsaw links.
-Take down screws instead of pins (customer wants to send the knife to Ionbond for a boron carbide treatment)
-Hand stitched heavy duty leather sheath.

Won't the boron carbide treatment cover up the pattern??

that is a beautiful knife. I sure would love to own it. I would hate to think that that pattern might be covered up by a finish.
