12 with a full satin finish.

I just gave my 12 a bit of an over haul, It was looking some what tired so I added
a satin clip, gave the Ti side and the blade a true satin finish to wake it up a bit :thumbup:

Nice work.... its a pity you have to sacrifice the Emerson logo in order to do that but a satin finish is always pleasant on the eye.

Personally I think a black skull clip will look good on that knife. I have one on mine and its pretty cool IMO.

I actually prefer my knives sterile but the logo is still there. Its just ever so slightly "ghosted" on the blade now.

I did put a pirate logo clip on it but thought the full satin look was a bit better so I went with the satin clip, for now :thumbup:

That edge has been rebeveled but only at the pointy end, the rest is not that far off from the factory edge.

Aye, I gave the guy 2 clips but I havent been through to Taipei for ages so just
havent managed to catch up with him yet. I presume they will be done by now.

The 12 is a solid knife no two ways, I'v had the one in that pic for a while and its still kicking ass.
The lock up on that knife is very close to 100% but has been like that for a long time and still rock solid.
It will be an easy fix when the knife gets to the end though. It will just be a case of putting a sleave on/replacing
the stop pin or peaning the lock bar and I will get another good few years out of it.:thumbup:

The strider folders I have had did not impress me a great deal TBH, for a few reasons.
I have only had 3 or so frame lock folders, a PT and two SMFs have passed through my hands.
The locks on the PT and my first SMF were fairly pooly fitted, the contact point on those two
was right at the "bottom" of the lock bar at the corner of the cut out.
The 2nd SMF was just fine as far as the lock and was a good solid knife too but did have a few other cosmetic issues.

EKI and strider both make solid knives but you dont get any points for guessing which knives I spend my money on :thumbup:

striders are good too, i have had i bet a dozen thru the yrs, GB's, AR's, SnG's and SmF's, i was happy with all of them, and imho the SnG is one of the better edc knives around, that said right now i have ~ a dozen EKI's and exactly -0- striders so its not hard to see what i prefer,

I would be more than happy to do it but I feel you could get it done on shore for less than postage to Taiwan

Thats only a 5-10 minute job on the buffing wheel to get that finish, I could have gone glossier but
that knife is a user any way so there was no need to go nuts as its going to be dinged up again in no time.
