Craig referred a friend to me needing a 124 and 103 sheath. He has a klinkhammer 124 and 103 knives and he wanted a dual sheath. Never done one like that so I said let's try one. I'm about 4 sheaths behind. This one took most of the afternoon.
Kodiak leather.

I went by a pawn shop on the way to the post office and came across a Backwoods Damascus knife. I don't know much about them but thought it was a goodlooking knife.

Nice Mike, with those two knives it must take up a lot of real estate on a hip.

Yes, the guy has 2 Klinkhammer knives and wants to keep them in the same sheath . Would be quite a sidekick with it on your belt.

Did you make the sheath for the backwoods? If you did it's awesome.....
I didn't make that sheath. It's real nice but pretty thin leather. It's has some sort of hard finish applied and is very stiff. Nice though. The detail in the stamps is nice. Must of been soaking wet.

Real nice dual sheath, never heard of anyone pairing those two models togeather but they seem like a great pair.

Btw I think the backwoods knife is made in Pakistan, but I suppose there's a chance it's not.
Looks decent enough though.

I did investigate Backwoods knives.
Bill Akers own Backwoods custom knives. I won't buy a Pakistan knife,
Most of his knives run 200 to 300 dollars. Seems like very good quality.

Hi everyone,Im Bill Akers,As most of you know by now.Im an avid hunter and fisherman and truly love the outdoors,I have been a fulltime knifemaker for 8 years now,And have been making knives going on 13 years.I try to use the best materials possible to make each and every knife special and one of a kind.I do hand forge some of my knives,I mostly use the stock removal method at this time. I do it all in house starting with raw barstock ,profiling, starting my grinds ,heat treating to the finished product ready to deliver to you all.I do not have any hired hands in my shop,Im a one man show.Blade forums has been my home for many years now and I plan on staying here till I cant make knives anymore. This place has some of the finest people around,I have made more friends than one could ever think..As far as other makers go.Most would give you the shirt off there back to help you out in anyway they can.Aswell Id like to thank my suppliers of my carbon steels {Aldo Bruno & Admiral steel} My Damascus stock From { Larry Fowler & Rob Calcinore } And my San Mai Stock from { Larry Withrow }.And my Leather man { Carl Thomas }.A special thanks to them,They help me make my creations come to life. I would also like to give thanks to each and everyone of my supporters here on the forum and around the world that make my career in knifemaking keep moving along. You all are the best..Ill be updating the forum as I have time,So feel free to drop in anytime to just browse around, If you feel like starting a thread have at it.Make yourself at home..

It definitely looks nicer than a typical Pakistani knife , but not having heard of them I figured there was a chance it could be one.
That's good that it is in fact a custom and not from Pakistan.

You can buy that coating from Tandy, it stiffens up leather and waterproofs it...
