I've got my eye on a 124 with a rosewood handle.

It's listed as "very good condition with only light scratches on the blade."

The buy now price is $145. I'm open to spending that much, as long as it's not too much for the knife.

Can I post the link to this knife here, to get some feedback about it's age and the type of steel used?

I don't think that would be deal spotting, but I thought I'd check first.

Linking an active sale would be deal spotting. Asking values as a registered user or basic member is against the rules. You must have a gold or higher membership to discuss values. Best advice I can give you is to save the images of the knife, and re post them here, you will need to use an image hosting site to store the pics, then link the images into the text box in a post here. Folks can then assess the knife for you and tell you the relative condition and age etc. Also, check out the date code sticky threads at the top of the forum here, much info there that may help you discern the age of the knife. Wouldn't hurt to re read the forum rules again either, they are pretty well spelled out.

No sorry you can't. You have to be gold level member or higher to talk about values and you can't link live auctions here ever.

Your best bet might be to search completed/sold auctions and see what similar models have sold for.
