In Robert Clemente's book he states 1972 was first production year for the 125OT. He also says 1972 models had a lanyard hole, and that 1974 and 1975 did not. We all know 1973 was the last year Schrade Walden stamp. I have 2 Schrade Walden 125OT's one with the hole ,one without, whats up with that?

Well, it is a Schrade, so they probably still had a few blades left when quit punching the lanyard holes. Consistency in detail was not their forte. I had four brand new 861's in Schrade Walden Box/Tubes without the Schrade Walden stamp. Sometimes it was probably a case of using what was available, and not wasting anything, even at the end of the year/start of a new one.

Thanks Thawk, that sounds reasonable, I was just playing with my knives, hard to believe huh,and i noticed that..

interesting ! i just ebayed a Schrade-Walden/N.Y. U.S.A./125OT without the lanyard hole. still on it's way, but in pics the saw cut Delrin handle looks a little different from my newer 125OTs. probably secondary to aging, but i wonder if any of the S-W 125OTs had saw cut bone, as has been discovered in a few S-W 8OTs. roland
