Been 128 days sober and all has gone very well. There was one time where I was delayed in Chicago on my way back from Baltimore (freaking air travel) for 7 hours. Went and sat in the bar, regained my senses, called my sponsor (gave me a constructive butt chewing), and ended up buying a good book and reading for my remaining time there. Came close to screwing up, but didn't in the end.

It has been a joy living life with a clear head. I have read, and re-read my original thread hundreds of times. You folks are a God sent.

Thanks to all and I'll post on my next 128 days.:D:thumbup:

Good for you...the home team is rooting for you. Your family and friends are probably also just as happy and relieved your on the band wagon..:thumbup:

Congratulations on staying sober and especially on using the program; it works!
all da best,

Good for YOU!!

Being "un-altered" is it's own kind of trip isn't it?

There is a song, one day at a time Sweet Jesus, one day at a time. Will be praying for you.

128 days, big congrats !!!!!!!!!

The first 90 days were the roughest for me.

Had my last drink of alchohol in 1983, it's been 25 years and I still count the days !

It can be done !!

Think of all the knives you can buy with the money your saving :D

Thank you all for the words of encouragement.

Congratulations! I know how hard it can be. I just celebrated six years sober the other day. Keep up the good work. If you ever want to talk about it, PM me here.

Way to go!!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

God bless and keep up the good work, one day at a time!

Right on, keep staying in the present. I've been sober since 05/05/84. Meeting makers make it:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Keep it up, Tarmix.
I pray for you often as I struggle along the same path.
And thanks for the update, it gives us all strength.
