Just wanted to share this, since it's knife-related and I'm bursting with excitement.
In 1992-ish I was living in Arkansas not far from AG Russell's showroom. I was a broke-ass field archaeologist, but still managed to save up for an occational prize for myself. Unfortunately, someone broke into my 'shack' and stole a dozen knife 'prizes'.
Being a budget-minded bargain shopper, many of the knives were closouts or discontinued models. That made finding replacements very, very difficult. But over the years I was able to replace most of them. The 11th knife was replaced earlier this year, a Shrade Pro-Hunter. The 12th knife was replaced just today, an Aristocrat Majestic in stainless steel and abalone.
So 13 years to replace a dozen knives... something to keep in mind. Even if your accumulation/collection isn't particularly valuable, finding replacements is a real ass-pain.
Hope it never happens to you,
Bob
