$1300 Knife Shop

a norman coote grinder 2x72" a motor and pulleys, a harbor frieght 39.oo drill press. a foredom flex shaft drill and bits, buffers. and this will leave you with at least $300 for steel, belts, pins, handle woods etc,

I would start with a griz grinder, remove the motor/ use for buffer, redo the grinder with a mandrell and pulleys for variable speed. Variable speed drill press, HF metal cutting bandsaw, and the best tool of all, a horizontal disc sander/ grinder, reversing and variable speed. That should leave you about 300.00 for the other small hand tools and supplies needed.

I'd have kept the guns and taken the grinder from someone without any......SORRY, I ALWAYS WANTED TO SAY THAT!

Thanks Guys,
My wife is always asking why I like to have so many guns and not other emergency supplies. I always tell her that we CAN get anything we need with guns.
"Will that be cash or charge?"

"Oh,I think neither."

I would spend the most amount of $$ on the grinder - I would go for a KMG-1 from Rob Frink. $795

I bought one and attached it to my table saw top and used the motor on the saw with step pulleys for variable speed.

Drill press and bits, sanding drums for use with drill press, vise, scribe, files, and the ballance on belts and materials
