---

I have both bk14 and Izula,,

BK14 is my edc fixed blade and gets used a lot, same handle with the Izula but I prefer the bigger blade.

Haven't handled one, but the Izula II is supposed to have a longer handle. The Izula I and the BK14 handles are too short for me.

The izula 2's extra length in the handle makes it just right for edc, without being too small, imo. That being said, I carried (& some times still do) a 14 for years.

You realize what subforum you're in, right? :D

I have medium-small hands and the 14/Izula handles are fine for me. I cord wrapped the handle and the size and ergonomics were good for my uses. I'm not sure if I'd say the same thing if I needed it for hard or prolonged use, though.

I have all 3 of the knives in question. I like then all & at some point have used them all in my EDC lineup. The extra length on the Izula 2 handles is nice for guys with larger hands but I have found that I now (almost exclusively) carry my original Izula after getting a "pocket" kydex sheath made. I think a lot of it also has to do with how I cod wrapped the handle !

Here is a comparison pic of the Izullas & by the way the sheath was made by Godspeed Tactical (great quality) !

I have all 3, and my vote goes to the Izula II.

I find that the pointier blade, and the extra leverage from the longer handle makes the Izula II feel more powerful and capable than the small Beckers.

Even though the blades of the Beckers are longer, that only makes the small handle (essentially the original Izula handle; noticeably shorter than that of the Izula II) seem not ideal overall. It just feels like the power transfer, leverage, and control is not as good on the Beckers; the Izula II being superior in this regard.

I also feel that pointier blade of the Izula II is equally as adept at thrusting/stabbing AND slicing.

The wider, blunter blades of the Beckers, along with the shorter handles (less leverage) makes the them seem more suited to slicing to me.

Having said that, the Beckers are still very nice blades. The D2 steel on the BK24 feels especially nice and is more corrosion resistant than the 1095 steel of the Izulas and BK14.

On the Beckers, you really do need 3rd party scales to get the most out of them.

If I were to get one, I'd go for the Izula II. If I could have two, I'd go for the Izula II along with the BK24 for the more corrosion resistant D2 steel.

What does the other side of that kydex sheath look like? What do you like about the Izula over the BK14 and BK24?

The other side of the sheath looks the same minus the drain hole & I suppose it's just personal preference on my choice of the izulla. It's kind of like the debate over Chevy vs Ford...it boils down to personal preference.
