My first rendition of a single-side-ground kitchen knife turned out closest to the deba category. I almost didn't post it because of the coarse belt finish (experimenting on scraps), but the more I play with it the more I like it.

136mm tip-to-handle CPM154, flat back with a tiny backside bevel - call it a 90/10 edge.
Bolster of black linen micarta and ruby G10
Haft of linseed-oil-rubbed quartersawn white oak

Thanks for looking.

Well done! I like. Thickness?

Oak is lovely. Looks like a very capable knife in the end. For a coarse belt finish, it looks even with clean and straight bevels, so no harm, no foul. Keep it up!
