is that chiruwa on top the tin chirra or lightweight ak?

sure looks like a tin chirra. would be my choice today.

Gawl dagnabbit! I go out to hook up a crazy chick and come back to find a Tarwar gone AGAIN! Auntie, we need to talk!

Go for it Prabha, I didn't get the email sent, got distracted, another will come along for me.

E-mail sent on #4 Gelbu, if it hasn't sold already.

Initially, I couldn'y decide between a Gelbu Special and 16.5 CAK for my first purchase.
I ended up making my first a 15 in Kobra.
Now I am looking at the Gelbu for my second HI. (the first is not even here yet)
So, then I will have to get the CAK.
and then.....

OK, now I see how it works!

Sorry guys but I am the very lucky winner of the Gelbu.

Yangdu has been treating us all very fairly. We should all appreciate just how many " so sorry" emails to she has sent over the past few weeks. I know that I have received several!

Canadadan,

Congrats!

Right before your post my wife walked by looked at my monitor and muttered something about OCD and knives!

I am still trying to figure out who she was talking about; because it is perfectly normal behavior and I have posts from the other forumites to prove it!

Enjoy the Gelbu! I will get one soon enough! Well, not soon enough but I will get one!

Is it just me, or have there been an increasing number of 15 inch khukuris coming up as of late? Not that I don't like that length (it's the stock length of my beloved BAS) I just noticed that the average length according to the HI website is about 18 to 18.5 inches. I ask because I picked up a couple earlier this week in the shorter range on DotD. If you ask me, I'd say they are just about the perfect, value-size khukuri!

Also, I picked the wrong day to go to bed on time. AKs and Gelbus and Tarwars, oh my!

396vette, your wife is probably right about collectors and ocd. I myself have one of the world's largest collections of Danish cufflinks and tie bars - over 500 pairs.

Believe me, kukri collecting is much more affordable in terms of money but not space. I would wager that most the forumites collect "stuff" from more than one area.
