  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

14" Boy Scout Axe - Plumb, 1T-BG14

This is actually not a boy scout hatchet.

It is a flooring hatchet on a very nice replacement handle intended for a common scout pattern hatchet.

Thanks
was going with the information on the handle as a place to start
What makes it a flooring hatchet?
Can it be dated?

I do not know exactly how a flooring hatchet is used and the exact reasons behind it's design ( I have some thoughts ), so all I can really say is that being a flooring hatchet is what makes it a flooring hatchet.
Google plumb flooring hatchet and you'll see it, Vaughan made / makes one too.

Heres a Plumb scout hatchet head, not an official BSA logo head but it's the same head.

This was my Dad’s BoyScout plumb hatchet. The head has a BoyScout logo stamped into it. He got it used from his Uncle in the early 50’s.
