I got a new Hercules 14" Chop saw for Christmas. Primary uses will be chopping down mild steel for use for work sticks, cutting down damascus billets to restack, and cutting mild steel (and angle iron and tubing) to make fixtures and stuff in the shop. On my 4.5" angle grinder, I have a diamond wheel on it and use that a lot instead of the abrasive wheels. It lasts a long longer, doesn't shrink and cuts pretty good. Is it worth it to get a diamond wheel for the 14" or just use the abrasive discs? Any particular brand recommendations to look for or stay away from?
