I picked this one today a little late so after a day out at Laguna Seca with no sun and high fog layer pics are not as good...My 1st thought as soon as I got outside and removed it from the scabbard was cutting competition! Next was this size at 14" should be a regular H.I production piece ( I rather be the only one to have one like this :D ) The walnut handle is just stunning, blade perfect...I could not be more pleased with this purchase (and having said no more purchases till after the BACKA..I sure as heck am glad I sharked this one up :p ) The only thing I would like to see on a 14 incher like this is a laniard hole... Thanks Yangdu on yet another H.I winner!

I didn't catch before that it was a double yin/yang...nice!

.

I really never cared for handle designs that were not of the wood handle..but after my 1st YCS which is a single Yin/Yang and now this one that has 2...I like it...adds a good flavor to the handle and overall look

Man, that IS awsome, and sweet and shiny and sharp! You should have picked up #9 as well, so it would have a little sister! ;) I got that one and was very impressed. Pics are on the other YCS karda thread HERE

Your pics are as always flawless Sweet! Is that your deck? What kind of wood is it? Redwood, Ipe?

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us!

That feature is nice. One of the other ones, a karam handled karda also had the double symbol. Think it was #5 on that YBB thread. I have decided I like the karam wood feel and grain a bit better than the neem.

Thanks,

Norm

how bout a pic with it "in the hand"?

Very nice indeed. Looks like first-rate workmanship from Bura himself. What I don't get about this handle design is the squared-off transition from grip to guard. I would think a curve would be more user friendly. :D

that style would get my vote as a good candidate....a beautiful knife...I tend to agree with the comment about the squared-off handle/guard transition, but would have to limit that observation purely from my personal aesthetic view...functionally, the end user would be the only one who could say what was needed in that area, and no two hands are alike....and also agree that those are very fine photos, indeed.......

Were you the stunt stabber for Psycho? The handle looks plenty long enough for any comments about user-friendly concerns about the transition handle/guard to be entirely moot....a very useful looking blade, and handsome as all get-out....congratulations, sir....

Hey Steve, cant be that greedy by getting #9 too! At lease we know #9 went to a good home  Yep that is me deck also have a balcony of this stuff called Red Balau which is a kinda like mahogany with the grain but this wood hard like iron wood (that's the crude name around here for it because it is so heavy) Redwood is kinda hard to come by here and it is more exspensive...given the price and qualities of this exotic wood I could not have made more better choice in my deck using this beautiful wood! Now everyone wants to use this same wood when they do their decks along with my cork bathroom floor! I'll get a pic up of the deck and balcony
