Haven't posted in a while so I wanted to show a piece I just finished up recently. My customer wanted a ring fighter and heres what we came up with.

Light and quick------
OAL- 16 3/8" , blade 11", raised sharpened top clip 7 3/4" ,1452 layer damascus, hot blued mild steel hardware with Stabilized African Blackwood.

Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.

Bill

I like it a lot, very interesting and appealing Damascus pattern.:thumbup::thumbup:

Striking pattern, definitely unique and classy, simple and very complex.

I like what you did there Bill she looks very comfortable to hold with a sweet damascus pattern

Nice, Bill! Very cool piece. I love the high-layer Damascus. The ring guard works with the whole piece very well. That could have easily been overdone, and it is not.

I wondered when it was going to get too hot to fish. :p :D

Thanks Joe.
Joe it never gets to hot for fishin', during hot times you just have to change starting times. I was out one day last week, middle of the day and it was terribly hot , but we ended up with 5 nice walleye ranging from 3# - 4 1/2# well worth the sweat. ;) I do like it when they tug on my line. :D

Hello,

This thread was started August 6, 2014, 3 years ago. I just recently acquired this knife. It is now November 13, 2017. And it is in exactly the same shape now as it was when it was made. Immaculate! And what a great fighter this piece is. Beautifully designed and executed. The handle is very heavy, smooth, dense African Blackwood. Feels great and bonds to the hand.

The retention ring is well placed for unbelievable control and comfort. This knife can be swung with much greater force than you could swing a knife that did not have a well placed ring. And it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to strip this knife if it were employed in CQC. This is a true weapon that can be relied upon in combat as it will not fail under duress and is well balanced and quick. As well it is a work of art that is pleasing to look at and fondle.

I'd like to thank both the maker and seller of this knife. For without both of you I would not have the opportunity to get to know and enjoy this great piece of work. Thank you... Pete
