I've seen Chinese kitchen knives listed with 14cr14MoVNb as core steel between layers of SUS410.
14cr14MoVNb should be a powder steel and used at 62-64 HCR.

But a search about this steel didn't give much info?

I'm only making an educated guess on the naming convention comparing other Chinese steels but I would say it is a S35VN alias.

S35VN has about 1.4% C; 14% Cr and small additions of Mo, V, and Nb

It could also be S30V. It has a similar composition.

There are some Made in China (not Taiwan) knives (non-cooking) stating S35VN. I wonder if this actually S35VN from Crucible or
the equivalent 14Cr14Mov being used.

I think ST650 from Ryda knives is also actually 14Cr14Mov

I have been using a knife with steel 14cr14MoVNb about a month. Holds sharpness well, cuts aggressively. Totally satisfied.
