while browsing, I came across a dragonfly with scales that are sterling silver and claims to have a 14kt gold star inset on it. Only markings on the scales are "JM CHAL" "Sterling" "14KT" and "USA".
anyone ever see these or know of a potential value?

Awesome. Probably not much in metal value. I have to imagine it's plated .925. Really damn cool though.

This one, i found is used, and is $100. has some scuffing on the scales, and a few scratches on the blades. wasnt sure if i should pick it up

That is one gorgeous knife and is worth the $, I think. I wonder who CWC is/was?

thats the one thing i was considering, and was a setback on me jumping on it right away. I'm assuming CWC is someones initials.

Doesn't have too many details on the site I found it at, but the starting price is $518. The '14k gold star' adds $250 to the price, lol. Silver and gold jewelry has a HUGE premium over the melt value.
