Okay guys, here are the winners.

1st prize - Grimspoon
2nd prize - Ken44
3rd prize - pbubsy

I used http://www.random.org/ this morning to generate some numbers between 2 and 111, the bracketing numbers for the entries.

First up was 60. It appeared that first prize was going to our own thatmguy.

But waitaminute!!! :eek: :eek:

A quick check showed that thatmguy had posted previously in post #58. A quick review of the situation by an official (my cat) DQ'ed Hammy on this one since the rules clearly state: "Posting twice in the thread won't disqualify you, but your first post must be the one with the picture of the knife. Otherwise, I'll simply run the generator again."

Sorry, Hammy. Your first post (#58) did have a quoted pic of a knife, but it is one you already own. I hated to do it, but I had to snatch first prize right out of your shutting snout. I think you have Tony G to blame for this one. :p

Next run of the numbers produced 36, and first prize, the Leatherman combo pack and Busse shot glass, will be going to Grimspoon. Congratulations, Grimspoon.

Ran the generator again, and the next number out of the box was 14. That means Ken44 will be getting the Vic Climber and the Busse shot glass. Congratulations, Ken.

The last generator run spat out 48. That means pbubsy wins the lanyards and the Busse shot glass. Congratulations, Paul.

As is sometimes the case, people will take a post count as an indicator of one's worth in a community, but make no mistake; even without a number attached to the posts you make there would be no doubt as to the value of your contributions to these forums! We appreciate it! :D:D:D

Man, that generator stayed under 100 all four times. I'm going low from now on!:D

Yeah, but 111 was the upper end of the range.

Here's 25 generated in a row in that range.

3 over 100 is about what you'd expect. 10% of the range is over 100. 10% of 25 is 2.5.

My point though is that, in quite a few places, you can spot three in a row with all of the numbers under 100.

It was definitely time to give back a little. When I added up all the contests here I've won, I came up with:

Thanks to everyone who participated in the giveaway. There are some cool knife pics in that thread.

I have done a giveaway in the past, but it was for a FUGLY Schrade stockman. A good knife, but FUGLY indeed.
