My first Ak arrived in mid September. Since then, it's been too much work, not enough time in the field. But I've managed to cut Mesquite limbs, small trees, oak limbs and saplings, holly, and some catus. This Knife is a superior worker. But, I think I need a bigger one.
Thanks to Uncle Bill and HI for such fine knives .

Ps. I'm a Alan too.So, since there so many; I'll just use my login. texalp.

Good to hear you are enjoying it! Once HIKV sets in there will be lots more BIG khuks to follow!
Also welcome to the cantina and have fun!!

I have to agree, the 15" AK is kinda a dinky little knife when it comes to khukuris.:)
And cuttin' cactus you need as long as you can swing without it tireing you out.
I would recommend the perfect khukuri for cuttin' cactus, but the rest of the guys would just say, "There Yvsa goes again, harpin' on the benefits of the 21"+ Chitlangi.":p    :D

Pull up a seat, grab the beverage of your choice and join right in. Tobacco products are welcomed here too. Smoke 'em or chew if ya got the makin's.:)

Welcome to the forums.

The more time you spend here the larger your khukuri needs will grow. In no time et all you will find yourself surrounded by many kukuries and you will need larger and larger khukuries as you go along.

just remember; if it weighs more then 5 pounds it is really too big to be a Khukuri. :)
