Just ordered a #15 EO Boys Knife in Rust Red jigged bone with single Sheepfoot blade. I'm very excited to receive it. In the meantime I'd love to see some of yours and hear any reports on them as users. I plan to put this one to heavier chores as my beater/workhorse.

Pics to help get me through the next few days til it arrives?? :)

Here's one. Not suitable for heavy chores in my opinion. Sturdy yes but heavy duty - no. They'd make a great manicure knife.

If you want a heavy duty knife, get a GEC #79 Montana Whittler.

I ordered mine one week ago - from the US. So it can take some weeks until I get mine. But I´m looking forward getting it - and I´ll post pics, when I got it :)

EDIT: I ordered the very same knife that WillieD showed above.

Here's my only pic of mine:

It still looks just like that, as I've not cut any food with it. (This is partly the same lame "I wanna keep it nice" mentality I got with it's spearpoint older brother, but partly also that I don't think it's the right tool for cutting food.) Did excellent work on packaging, paper, leather, and a scrap of basswood, though.

I use the EO notch so much that I had to consciously force myself to try out that long pull the other day. (It works, whew.)

Clip Blade Single, Ivory Bone. Really nice, appealing pocket-knife but as Ed states, not actually heavy use, handles too slim for that. Get a thick stag 73 for that

Great knife though, no messing!

Wow thanks everyone for the pics and input. Your right Ed, "heavy duty" wasnt the best choice of words for this one. It'll sort of be my utility knife as it's probably better suited than my Northfield #55's smaller spear point. Would the 15's all-steel framework/liners give it just a bit more durability vs the #55 in this case?

Thanks to all :)

I think that #15 Boys Knife will make a great every day knife and will be able to handle a tough job when one comes up occasionally. Good luck with your knife and post a picture of it here when you get it.

Seriously? Are they that un-robust? What makes them so. If they didn't have half stops I'd be all over them.

I have the same one modoc Ed has in his first pic. I really like that knife. It is a great knife and I am probably going to order another in jigged bone.

I have one of the two bladed EOs withe nightbright handles, well actually my 10 yr old daughter has it right now on a camping trip. We shall see how it holds up (read how much rust I have to undo). I don't see anything weak about this knife, in fact I used it to cut some rope prior to her "borrowing" it and it felt pretty good. I do wish they had put the ivory bone on it, but whatever. Steven
