Ok, first things first. Here's the baby beast we're talking about. No modifications, just took it out to the park today.

Specs:
Overall Length is 15.5 inches.
Handle 4.25 inches with the bolster add another inch.

Handle circumference: 4 inches on the thinnest part.

Blade overall is 10.5 inches. Of that 7.5 inches of it can be used to chop with.

The ganga ram came field sharp.
It came with a small very sharp knife and another non edge blade for fixing the khuk's edge in the field.
The little sharp knife goes through hard plastic packaging like a hot knife through butter. Think of the packaging that electronics components come in.

Ok so the ganga ram itself. It balances more to the middle probably because of the handle design. Its not as forward weighted because of this and doesn't feel heavy at all. Didn't stop off at the vegetable stand so no numbers on weight. Can easily be swung and carried all day.

The scabbard is solid leather. The metal tip came off yesterday so I taped it down with electric tape. Mainly cause I didn't want to have a big hole in my book bag if the knife went through it. :p

My roommate sent me out on a mission today to go get her some sticks for her growing plants.
This thing went through one inch free standing limbs like they don't exist. OK so a ganga ram is overkill for these things... :p

Also swung at some hard wood that was wet to boot. Didn't take a full power swing. More like a wrist flick. Pics in the next post. :)

The tree limb from far off...

One light swing. I took the bark off the side by hand after the chop. Can do better, but currently out of shape and my back was acting up, so no full power swings for me. Another time guys....

Nice Review and Pics, Cap !
Always good to see a field report and people enjoying using their khuk's.
If ya want to put the chape back on the scabbard, hot glue or clear silicone sealant will work well. I had one fall off a little while back and i used the silicone. I guess it might be a good idea to have Auntie jack up the sarki's about this little problem.

I enjoyed myself a lot. Couldn't find the hot glue so electric tape had to do for today's excursion. It was about 46 degrees out here today, nice and warm.

Here are some pics of the frozen lake in the park though:
