Some of you may remember my unfortunate act of stupidity. I don't want to talk about what happened. It was a moment of excessive lateral force that overwhelmed Young's modulus of elasticity, resulting in a separation of certain components of the secondary cutting implement, all immediately preceded by a moment of stupidity and succeeded by a minimum of cursing and stomping of feet. Basically I pried on something and I broked my knife :(

My secondary blade is never sharp anyway. I use it for scraping, poking, stabby tasks that I don't want to dirty up my main blade with. I've always wanted a 15 frame harness jack because they are GORGEOUS AND BEAUTIFUL AND MANLY (I figured I better put something masculine in that description, it's a knife after all) but I can't afford one right now with the life changes. Maybe in a year, but that's neither here nor there.

I called GEC, they will replace my spear secondary for $25. But I wonder, is the tang of the punch on a harness jack the same shape as a secondary blade on a TC Barlow? If so, could I even find one to swap in? Swapping blades/punches is easy, I can do that myself with few tools.

So, what says the forum?
