What you can do with a small shop, some miscellaneous parts and 15 minutes of boredom.

I had this old Hurst t handle shift handle, a piece of unknown steel I had ground into a letter opener while bored one day and a collapsible SAK brand walking stick I usually use as a cane.

While cleaning my garage/shop I saw all the posts during on the bench and in 15 minutes put together the core of my cane with push dagger handle. I'll post the last of when I put it into the cane. This is not a WIP, it's just the bored toying of a man with parts and a time to play.

Sorry for the bad pics is the best I can do with a kindle, one of these days I'll get another decent digital camera and I'll get back to reading better pics.

Thanks for moving mods, I wasn't sure if it would be alright in general, sorry for the extra work.

I need to sand the handle down to get all the deep scratches and dings out of it, then buff it out. It should look like a cue ball when I'm done.

Considering how easy it all was I'm gonna try to sink the same rig into a gorgeous beech cane I made nearly 20 years ago. Who knows, maybe I'll have something to do that keep me outta trouble. ;)

In the immortal words of youtube's WeAllJuggleKnives, "Sometime you just wanna shank a fool." :D

Not a bad piece of work for 15 minutes.:cool:
