Ive been waiting on the Machaxe with the patience that comes from the climb up the high hill to middle age. Wasnt gonna get no tweener, didnt want no tweener, and didnt need no tweener. So I bought a FPR 16. And now Im convinced I need a tweener for a user because I do want to keep one FPR in the back of the closet. Id post a pic of my 16 but its in the back of the closet.
Ive found Kephart and Nessmuk to have been pretty smart, and Ive most often had some form of the trio with me whenever Ive been out overnight. Since I bought the 9 its been in there, at risk of someday getting bumped by the awaited Machaxe. I really like a jackknife so its there, and the 14 has been a pretty good tweener, although a little short. Over the winter I made myself a po boy nessmuk out, of all things, an old hickory lettuce knife. It can slice anything, and is great at scooping coffee and spreading peanut butter.
So heres what we got:
Forgot to mention the 45 flintlock so I guess its a quattro .
So I said all that to say this I cant make up my damn mind between a 15 or a 16. I feel like the drop point is more versatile in a Kephart kind of way, but cant get the old-timey trailing point out of my head. If I decide on the 16 Ill wait for production to get the flat grind, but if I go with the 15 Ill get a FPR because I think the uniqueness is worth the extra coin. Wonder if anyone else is having this problem?
