It's brilliant  I'd like to; A. See whoever came up with the concept credited, and B. Hear some feedback from anybody who's gotten their hands on one and had a chance to test it.

I'd especially like to see a comparison test between it and a 15" AK, which currently has a popular following as a "go anywhere, do anything" khuk.

This thing looks like a keeper. :)

Was there one of these produced? I must have missed it?

I would think that a 15" pen knife would look very similar to a 16" WW2?? I mean, that's what the Pen has always reminded me of.

Yes, I think the second one sold yesterday was a Villager wasn't it? I'm too lazy to check right now.

As to the idea, unless I'm mistaken we can credit Munk! with the idea for both the 15" pen and the 18" BDC.

Ok, couldn't help myself: they were _both_ Villagers. The first one on 12/30 was hill walnut and just beautiful. That and the 18" chandan BDC were first models that day. I'm not sure but think the khuk hound known as hdwrlover snagged them both. ;) The second 15" PK Villager in horn sold yesterday. Both were a great deal at $95. Hill walnut is not that common; wish I had snagged that one, but there would have been the little problem as to how to pay for it. :D

Seen two so far Hollow, one with a wood handle and one with horn. Does closely resemble a WWII style, but still easily distinguishable as a Pen Knife due to it's handle and deep belly. I'm also wondering if the blade isn't slightly thinner, and with a flatter taper than a WWII, one of the things I prize about Pen Knives is how well they "bite".

I got the walnut handled 15" pen knife. It arrived yesterday. I will post a picture tonight. My first impression is that it is alot heavier and substantial than the two 12" models I have (both villagers). It is 21oz whereas my 12" Pen knives are about 11 and 10 oz. It is very forward heavy. But the handle is alot better length than the two shorter Pens.

You're right Sarge, and my only "complaint" if you could call it that WRT the PK is that while it was great for small tasks it was difficult at times to get some inertia going with them for larger chopping chores.

This one will fit that niche perfectly. Wish I had thought of that myself!

It looks like a hatchet. Hell if they made a longer one it would be an axe.
