OK.Just got the beast at 9:30 AM this morn...Went about chopping a large tree in the back yard...Here's the details..

Wrapped a cord around tree at area of cut..Cut cord where ends touched...measured the length of cord..Length was just over 15"...So 15" diameter????

Took less than 5 minutes to cut through tree and process some 30 limbs ...Total time to cut everything into 3' lengths was just over 1 hour..No blisters..VERY sore forearms and the scales came loose..Blade was dull but not very..Several minutes with stone and steel and its back to better than delivered sharpness..

Had my son time me on a cut through a 7" branch ...Under 30 seconds...

All in all im very impressed with this beast...Worked as fast as an AX but 100 times more fun...Hehehh....new neighbors just starred...LOL...

Any tips on securing the scales??

when I get batteries for the digital I will post some pix of tree.

Five minute later update...Just used stones from Sharpmaker 204 on the AK....It SCREAMS "WHO'S YOUR DADDY" Now...Love it !!

gotta love that first khuk field report!

15"+ circumference= 5" diameter (pi=3.1416etc.)
by the way since this is your first I can tell you I've never had a problem with HI handles even under heavy use. seems like the villagers have occasional handle failures though.

Sounds like you would appreciate a bigger khukuri like a GRS. Save the Ang Khola for bird and trout duty.
