ahh well my birthday is comeing and i feel like should treat myself to a nice folder. i am really likeing an ffg manix 2 . but i want a fun folder that has nice ergos and such. for edc. weight doesnt matter. so yea :D

Para-Military 2. Buy a blemish Kershaw from kershawguy with the dough you have left over.

Get an Emerson CQC8.

CTS-XHP Manix 2 only because it is limited and the steel is a rising star. The Para 2 would be my second choice. Both are great, great knives but the CTS-XHP is a fantastic steel that is limited at the moment and worth picking up. I may wait for one of the sprint Para 2 runs in CF and s90v (will no doubt be more than $150).

kershaw volt (a few have been on the exchange within your price range)
zero tolerance 0350 (i think that's the model, the one with the composite blade)
the spydercos mentioned are also great choices.

i think nearly all the emerson line will be outside your range unless you buy used.

+1 on the ZT0350.

Lots of choices in that price range.

-Paramilitary 2
-Caly 3.5
-Chinook 3
-Police 3
-BM 940
-BM Lum Onslaught
-ZT 0350 (regular one or composite blade model)
-ZT 0200
-Al Mar Nomad
-Al Mar Shrike

And many more. If you like big strong folders, I'd recommend the Chinook 3. It's a tank and Spyderco flat ground blades are fantastic cutters (S30V steel doesn't hurt either).

If you're looking for something that takes up a bit less pocket space, then the BM 940 (or 943) would be my choice. Especially if you don't own any AXIS lock knives. The design is terrific and packs a lot of utility into a compact package.

The ZT 0350 is a good option if you like asisted openers. I own several ZTs and find myself carrying the 0350 the most. The problem with the other models isn't the weight, which I don't mind, but the bulk. There's a new version with a composite blade that's really cool.
