Hi all,

I want to put together two bug-out-bags (bob's) in the immediate future. One for me, one for my wife, and each will live in the trunk of our cars.

I want to keep the total price tag under $150 USD. That's $75 a bag, but I mention both in case that makes it easier to get some in bulk or something. Anyhow, $150 for two car-carry bob's- what would you put in and where would you get it? Assume I have nothing now (not entirely true, but close), no knives, no rope, nothing.

Thanks!
Mike

Homemade Pepsi-can stove, or the "Swedish 5 piece Mess Kit" from Cheaper Than Dirt.
Spoon
Half dozen bottles of HEET (100% ethanol fuel for your stove above)
2 cans of SPAM
Tea Bags, Honey and Creamer, cocoa, instant coffee
Space Blankets
Candle
Spare knit wool cap
SAK w/ canopener
2 MRE's
10 dollar WalMart LED headlamp
Large trash sack
Gallon of distilled water (for drinking and lead-acid batteries)
Steal a synthetic blanket from your closet and put it into the trunk
Salt, pepper
Daypack
Old pair of season appropriate shoes, broken in but in good shape.
Wool socks for same.
Couple of disposable butane lighters

This list is not exhaustive, just helping to spark your creative juices.
Good luck.

Also a FAK
2 First aid dressings
1 crepe bandage (or cohesive bandage)
1 triangular bandage
Steri Strips
2 small packs sterile gauze swabs
Antiseptic cream (or wipes)
Latex gloves
Whistle
Nylon cord/ twine/ paracord
Small sewing kit
Sticking plaster
Paracetamol
Water purification tablets
Tweezers

Two FFP2 (I think thats N95 in the US?) fold flat face masks if you are in an urban setting

There are other things that would be useful but would start to take up a lot of your budget eg. SAM splint; burn treatment bandages; coagulative/ quickclot bandages; military field dressings; forceps etc.
