150# Hay-Budden Blacksmith Anvil..ebay!

Looks to be in good shape if that pitting isn't too deep. Nice clean edges from what I can see.

oh am i? sorry i see people posting stuff for craigs list and stuff..... didnt know it was against the rules. my apologies to the powers that be.

i kind of thought helping find equipment would be in the "spirit" of this forum.

Don't hurt him mods! He's just trying to help!

Looks like a good deal for someone even in the Massachusetts area.

James I truely did not think you narc'd me out. i appreciated the heads up. and i will look at the rules more closely. again i appreciated the heads up.

i really had no idea it was against the rules to post something like this in the forum because i personally am not selling it.

thanks

It seems most anvils are in the Northeast. Freight would kill me.

Robert, You got it made if you want an anvil! Emmerson is in Benton/Bosier depending on how you look at it. And with the Track so close there are alot of them floating around from old farriers in the area.

I understand, bud. No offense taken or intended. :)

Maybe we should ask a mod to clear this up? As I said, posts like yours, and ones where guys (including me) post links to grinders or whatever on sale, don't seem to arouse any wrath. Again, I suspect that's because it doesn't interfere with what folks sell here, but that's pure conjecture on my part.

James i agree with you!

i understand the mods not wanting people selling their wares here in the shop talk forum and turning blade forums into a flea market. but so much of the conversation here in the forum is about equipment it makes wonder if how it adversly affects the forum when some one posts a listing for equipment available for other makes to buy? would the sellers forum be more appropriate? it doesnt seem to fit there either because i'm not selling it..... i just found it. and everyone wants a hay-budden.

i looked over the rules and its very murky

I posted what I thought was a good deal on some real nice thick leather from a purveyor that shall remain unnamed and got spanked for it.

The way it was explained to me was if it could be construed as FREE advertising, it's probably not a good idea. Advertising or promoting a sale or auction could fall under this umbrella.
