I just got this knife in a trade. It wasn't something I was looking for, I just kind of fell into it. That's why I was so surprised when I got it, and I was blown away. What a great knife! Fast assisted open, beautiful polished G10, great ergos, and excellent 440v steel. Looking into it, I found out it was the first AO kershaw made, and was designed by Ken Onion. It also won some awards if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway, I'm going to put some pics in this post, not because they're great pictures, but because any post is better with pics. :)

You have stumbled upon one of the best kershaws ever. Great knife for sure, and that one looks to be in pretty good condition. Nice score.

Nice score. I'm certainly a fan of the 15xx series. These are just a few of mine.....I'm not kidding about the "few" either.

This family really hooked me on Kershaw. Never liked a wharncliffe blade that much til I tried the RT. Now I love them.

So which one of you got the two that just sold on the bay a couple days ago?

Wasn't me...I haven't been looking lately. I'm on kitchen knife kick lately that I can't seem to shake. :p

However....bfnewbie...AKA "LeekFreak" :) See anything interesting in this picture?

I need to go get some paper towels to wipe up my drool now. I want to say both you suck and nice collection. If you want to don't them though, I'll just say nice collection.

See the Leek with the machined G-10 in the top right corner? 1660T1G10...not many of those around. :p

Also...the 1660CGT...course G-10 with a satin finished blade....dead sexy. :D

Yeah, I believe both < 500 pieces. Go ahead, rub it in some more ;)

I have an unmolested Random Task plain edge and a serrated Mini Task Blem (which I converted to tip-up carry); love both of them, carry the Mini Task occasionally, fondle the Random Task often! The old Wild Wild Turkey is the one that got me started on Kershaws, and the two of these came shortly after.
