I'm going to start this tread kinda premature. I sent one of those Charcoal 110 to a internet friend/Fabian of mine in Italy. He's a serious hog hunter and the butcher for his crew. I'm hoping for some great action photo's of his next hunt. We'll see.

I'm going to post a couple of older pictures. I believe that Fabian was pleased with his 110. He said that Buck is know worldwide and is a most desired piece.

I hope he is pleased!! I can say with conviction, I am pleased to share the 110 around the world!!

Thats cool Flat. The charcoal 110's are really nice looking. Looking forward to seeing some photos of it in use.

I had a custom shop BG-42 110 that I sold awhile back, and it went to Russia.

Darn it, I can't find my pictures of Fabian. I've asked him to send some more and I'm giving him this link and I hope he posts.

You guys will all be jeoulous of were he hunts....simply amazing!!

LOL that's funny Gordon,I was just talking to Dave about those build-out's and the fact one just sold on the bay for $119+shipping.Does your friend know they only made 190 of them? That's a cool gift.

$119.00, what a turn around on those things. I guess you guys that bought multiples of them are smilin pretty large right about now.:)

:thumbup::D:D

Dave,
You were exactly the one I was thinking about when I wrote that. I also remember your Generous offer at the time to sell them to other members who didnt get one for your price + tax and shipping. I was lucky enough to pick one up off the site. Some times good things happen to the good guys like you.

I'm glad this has happened as well . Besides its a good knife, well made, solid and handsome worth the money . Plus, I don't think that price is extravagant in view of some similiar models in the custom shop . DM

Very true David. They should offer the charcoal in the custom shop.

I really wish I would have grabbed one of those when they were available at the original price, because after getting my charcoal 301, I've really grown to like it, plus they have the 154 steel...

May have to pick up one of the charcoals with the 420. Not quite the same, but still nice looking

I've passed along four of the ten so far. Demand seemed to slow down and I still have six of them.

The 154 cm charcoal 110 might just be the best buy in a 110 i've ever got.I love it ,haven't used it for anything yet,but i look at it a lot.I'm stuck using the ag stag until i can find something better i'm using that one.lol

OK guys finally got a couple from Fabain. He knows of the Buck 110 and very delighted to get one in a premium steel. He said he'll provide some action photos.

I'll try to get some of the country-side but for now here is Fabian, his friend looking on, and some future Italian sausage. These are Europeans which are smaller than the Eastern or Russian strain. What we have generally in USA is the Russian which are widely mixed with feral strains. So may be much difference in the size.

AWESOME!! Thanks for the pics! That was very kind of you to send him one of those 110's! He will love it for the hogs!

Looks like he has his work cut out for him. Does he have to process all four of them himself, or does he have help ?

I really like the dog :D:thumbup:

Boy, stacked like cord wood on the back porch . They do have the long snout and the color is the same as ones I've seen here . Size is too just some are feeding on a grain crop here and with better food grow larger and/or get older as there maybe a river bottom or swamp near by to lay up . So, they don't have to travel as far between meals . They breed year round and 113 days gestation so 2 liters one year and 3 the next . Thanks Flat for the photos . You Italians be careful out there and enjoy your Buck knife . DM

Way cool to hear and see that things are similar in different parts of the world!!

It is an old photo for the help with the sizes of Russian boars.:D
On the photo is three years old wild pig, it is not so big on Russian opinion, seventy kilos probably.
But there are an boars three hundred kilos and more in Russia, they are not such rare animals.;)

Notice how fat she is ! She's been visiting some farmer's potato field . I've seen hogs lose weight right before your eyes once they are layed on a certified scale . Then I've seen some in the weight range your stating but its very rare for wild ones here in the U.S.. (660lbs.+) Even with agriculture playing a role . Thanks for the photo . DM
