I like this design. Do you have any details on the handle materials?
Thank you, its my first try at fillet. I moved the handle up a touch because I have big hands and wanted I little more clearance for my knuckles. Black paper on the ends, and mystery wood I got from an old knife maker....no clue what it is but is pretty, and it's heavy. It's been sitting around for 20 years. I still sealed it with 2p10 thin and activator. I don't care for the plastic feel it makes, but it sure keeps the water out....for a fillet knife it seemed appropriate.

I really don't want to sound sarcastic but do you have experience with wood? Hell all I know is its. Cellulose and lignin and tannins I guess. The only reason I ask is I think that it looks like it's stained.. disagree with me there? It may not be I don't know so asking your opinionThe wood looks like African Blackwood or Gaboon Ebony
Yes sir! I mostly use wood on my handles. Here’s one example of Gaboon Ebony scales. Those scales may very well be stained, but in your pic, it looks similar to Ebony.I really don't want to sound sarcastic but do you have experience with wood? Hell all I know is its. Lots of experience with wood, just don't know how to identify this. It is not stained, I'm 100% sure on that.I really don't want to sound sarcastic but do you have experience with wood? Yes it's full 15n20, not sure I'm getting your question? I use 15n20 quite a bit, it's one of my favoritesNice man but. Full 15N20? Not sure if I follow there.
Electroplating and RP-342 "heavy" AEROSOL cosmoline works for me on fillets. The only ones I actually send out for electroplating and I do not trust myself to keep stainless active ahaha.
Ignore him! Jack Marsey got banned earlier today in another section of the forum. A moderator said he had duplicate accounts and has been banned once before.Yes it's full 15n20, not sure I'm getting your question? I use 15n20 quite a bit, it's one of my favorites
