15N20 compared to...?

Can anyone tell me how 15N20 compares to other common knife steels? I am looking for superior edge retention and the ability to give this knife a veeeeeeeeeeeeery sharp edge.
Edit: also, how is 01 steel? both for the same purpose. Looking at custom scandi ground skinning blades right now. Thanks much in advance.

15N20 has .75 C so it won't have the best edge retention. It does have nickel so it's tough.It's best for a chopper.
For best edge retention you should look for a steel with about 1.0 C . O-1 makes a good one , also A-2 .
